cuts for cami.

a couple of weeks ago i had the honor of photographing a fundraiser held for the sweetest, most beautiful but more than anything, very courageous little 4 year old. in july little camryn carver was diagnosed with Acute B Cell Lymphocytic Leukemia. a couple of saturdays ago they held a fundraiser and "kissed" her hair goodbye. it was so amazing. so many people came and showed so much support for this amazing little family. there wasn't a dry eye as she shaved her daddy's head and then he shaved hers. my favorite quotes from her that day were, "who needs hair anyway", as she shaved her dad's head and after her head was shaved she looked in the mirror and said, "i love it". so adorable. its astounding to me how somebody so small and perfect can be so strong and have to take on such a tremendous disease. she was smiling the entire day. it definitely put my life into perspective and was such a humbling experience. thanks carver family for letting me document this day for and for helping me realize how special and fragile life is. xoxo
